Are liberals tolerant and compassionate?

liberals claim to be tolerant and compassionate to all. So why do some of them use the homophobic name "tea baggers" when talking about the tea party? Why do they accuse the tea party of being racist? Have you ever seen the tea party be racist? Why is asking the president for his birth certificate racist? Just because the president is black?
